Rebecca Johnson built strong sewing skills designing dance costumes through Tutunique LLC, then watched customers start asking for everyday embroidered pieces, gifts, and promotional items.
When COVID shifted the world, she shifted her craft, stitching masks, bags, shirts, and keepsakes that carried personal stories. Patches and Tees grew out of that season, giving all those non-dance projects their own cozy home.
Rebecca treats sewing as a living art form and invites every customer into the process, whether they need one special graduation stole or matching tees for the whole family.

How Patches and Tees Began
Patches and Tees grew out of years spent sewing detailed dance costumes, where every seam and sparkle had to hold up under bright lights. During COVID, those same hands started creating practical, personal pieces like masks, tees, and totes. That pivot opened the door to a studio focused completely on handcrafted gifts and custom embroidery.
Rooted in Our Community
We are a family-run, Black-owned, female-led studio that loves dressing big and small milestones in thread and rhinestones. Custom graduation stoles, reunion shirts, church and business apparel all get the same friendly, one-on-one care.
